Great discussion tonight about the upcoming November election and the Pinellas County School Board races. This meeting was over 150 strong! This is what participatory democracy looks like, and this is the power of our collective work.
What We Discussed
With the November general election just two months away, members dove into the key races and issues that will shape our community. A significant portion of the evening focused on the Pinellas County School Board races, local contests that often fly under the radar but have enormous impact on education policy, book access, and curriculum decisions in our county.
Members also discussed voter outreach strategies and how to maximize engagement heading into what would become one of the most consequential election cycles in recent memory.
Looking Ahead
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, October 1. We will continue to focus on the November elections with voter outreach and phone banking opportunities.
In solidarity.
