When You Call
Make a Three-Minute Call
You do not need a script. State who you are, the city you live in, the issue you care about, and what you want the rep to do. Staff log every call. Three minutes of your time becomes a tally mark on a sheet the rep reviews each week.
- Identify yourself. “Hi, my name is [name], I live in [city, zip]. I am a constituent.”
- State the issue. “I am calling about [bill / issue].”
- Make the ask. “I want the representative to [vote yes / vote no / co-sponsor / oppose].”
- Thank them and hang up. Done.
